Hi, I’m Markus Lachenmeir — a project leader with more than two decades of experience in intralogistics, automation, and helping teams deliver complex projects with clarity and confidence.

What Drives Me

At the core, I love solving problems that at first seem overwhelming. Whether it’s aligning cross-functional teams, improving project processes, or helping organizations work smarter, I’m motivated by turning complexity into something structured, transparent, and achievable.

I’m currently Head of Project Excellence at Körber Supply Chain, where I focus on project standards, delivery quality, and sustainable improvements that help teams grow and succeed. My goal is always the same: build an environment where great people can do great work.

My Professional Journey

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on major fulfilment and automation projects in both Europe and the United States. Earlier in my career at SSI Schäfer and Knapp, I led and delivered projects for large Fortune 500 companies such as Walmart, Lowe’s, Brose, Jysk, and many others.

I originally entered the industry through a technical path—first as an electrical and communication technician, later deepening my skills in IT and network security. That combination of engineering, IT, and project leadership has shaped the way I approach problem-solving today.

How I work

People who know me would describe my style as calm, structured, and collaborative. I believe in strong relationships, clear communication, and continuous improvement—small steps made consistently over time. I enjoy mentoring teams, simplifying workflows, and creating project environments that just work.

Where I am today

I live in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I enjoy exploring the region, staying active, and spending time with the people who matter most. I’m always open to exchanging ideas about logistics, project leadership, and how organizations can improve the way they plan, deliver, and grow.
